Introduction to

Anatomy and Physiology of the Eye (#APEABO or APENCLE)

Pricing:  This three hour course is $45 for Academy members or $60 for Nonmembers. 

Course Description:  Lectures, models, demonstrations, and slides, covering basic gross and microscopic anatomy of the eye and orbit. Functional correlations emphasize mecha­nisms of acuity, refractive error, corneal oxygenation, adapta­tion, binocular vision, and in­traocular pressure.

Instructional Objectives:  Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

1. Describe the anatomic organization of the eye and orbit.

2. Explain the structure-function relationship in refractive error, strabismus, glaucoma, presbyopia, and contact lens wear.

3. Define anatomic terms frequently used in an ophthalmic practice
