Course Description:
Presents a study of professional liability as applicable to opticians. Reviews
the legal basis for lawsuits. Describes liability laws and how they relate to
opticianry.
Instructional Objectives: Understand the significance of opticianry liability issues.
Identify the most common areas of opticianry litigation. Describe variables
associated with and degrees of impact resistance in common lens materials.
Explain the legal basis for opticianry litigation. State the need to obtain and
follow industry standards. Know how to minimize your exposure to liability.
Include
payment with the answer sheet as you mail or fax it back to the Academy for
grading.
