The Ophthalmic Career Progression Program

The value of this program has been recognized nationwide as a preparation for national and state examinations; as the core for several state opticianry apprenticeship programs; and as a substantive reference by the National Apprenticeship and Training Standards Committee for Ophthalmic Dispensing Opticians.

Used throughout the United States and abroad, this beginning-to-intermediate level program supplies the theoretical knowledge needed to become a fully qualified, professional dispensing optician. Written by a team of experts, this program provides illustrated, highly detailed lessons in a three-volume format, including: Introduction to Ophthalmic Dispensing; How to Study; Deciphering Ophthalmic Terminology; Basic Optical Principles; Anatomy and Physiology of the Eye; Ophthalmic Frames; Ophthalmic Instrumentation; Ordering Ophthalmic Lenses; Final Inspection and Delivery; Dispensing Procedures; Presbyopia; Understanding Aphakic Spectacles; and High Minus Lenses. Upon completion, you will receive an attractive Certificate of Completion suitable for framing.

Full tuition is $800 at time of enrollment. Payment options are available.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept applications and enrollment on-line because original signatures are required. However, once you are enrolled in the program, you may elect to pay your monthly tuition payments via our on-line store.
