Reynolds Community College awards those who graduate from the OCPP with 14 college credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree in Opticianry.

The agreement between the National Academy of Opticianry’s Ophthalmic Career Progression Program and Reynolds Community College makes it possible for Reynolds to award 14 credits through advanced placement to a student who has completed all five courses of the OCPP so long as the student has satisfied the following criteria:

  1. Enroll in the Reynolds Opticianry program seeking the Opticianry AAS Degree;
  2. Submit an advanced placement portfolio within ten (10) years of completing the OCPP;
  3. Furnish official copy of transcript indicating OCPP satisfactory completion of all five courses within the portfolio;
  4. Satisfactorily complete the secondary program with a letter grade of “B” (80%) or better in the program courses.
